About the collection:

Inspired by baroque pearls and the myths and legends about it that come in many imaginative and inspiring tales.

In ancient Vedic texts, the pearl is born of the Earth’s waters and the heaven’s powers, fertilized by a flash of lightning. It’s considered to be the "Daughter Of The Moon". In Western cultures, the pearl has astrological associations with the planet Venus. Like pearls, the goddess of love came from the sea.

A Persian legend says that pearls were created when a rainbow met the earth after a storm and imperfections in a pearl’s appearance were the result of thunder and lightning.

The ancient Japanese believed that pearls were created out of the tears of mermaids, nymphs, angels, and other mythical beings.

In Tahitian myth, Oro the god of peace and fertility, visited the earth on a rainbow to bring a magical oyster. He offered the pearl to the princess Bora Bora as a symbol of his love.

This narrative has been the central guiding inspiration for this collection. A collection about love, nature, self-love, and the joy of creation.
